A Picnic at Grandfather's Farm

Last week my Mom and I went down to Massachusetts to visit the homes and graves of our ancestors  and relatives who lived in the Essex County area. This farm belonged to my 11th Great-Grandfather John Cogswell. The house was built by his great grandson in 1728, but the farm is still a working farm and is one of the oldest continuously running farms in America! It was the most beautiful place and we decided to bring a basket and have a picnic in the front yard. The flowers were just appearing and the weather was sunny and perfect! It was one of the most lovely afternoons I can remember!

    1. We should take the kids there in the Fall. You can pick pumpkins then!
