Sleighing 'round the White Mountains

Yesterday my family and I went up into the White Mountains to enjoy a jolly sleigh ride. We got there as the snow was lightly falling, and hopped into the back of a logging sleigh for some good old fashioned winter fun! Off we went over the river and through the woods, and out into a field where we flew through the snow under the shadow of a local ski mountain. Before we knew it, we were back at the barn, where I got to pet the horses and thank them for all their hard work. But the fun didn't stop there, and we were off to the Mount Washington Hotel to admire the gorgeous winter views of the surrounding mountains, take photos, and sip hot chocolate by the fire. It was a wonderful day!

NYC Snapshots - Day 3

Day three in New York was my favorite! We traveled down to Soho for my first trip to Laduree, and it was everything I had imagined and more! The dining room was gorgeous, and everything I ate, from fruit, to hot chocolate, was beyond delicious! I highly recommend their Plaisir Sucre. After that was a quick stop at the Brooks Brothers Flatiron Shop, where I bought a little something for myself, and a birthday gift for my brother. It was an lovely store with two stories plus a loft/lounge I used to put my weary feet up for a few minutes of relaxation. Then back up the city we went to finish off the day in Ralph Lauren style! We had more hot chocolate (yes, more) at Ralph's coffee shop on 5th, where we chatted it up with the locals at the next table, and all took turns taking snapshots under the iconic "Ralph's Coffee" sign. It was an enjoyable little stop. Afterward we caught a taxi up Madison Ave. to see the gorgeous Ralph Lauren store that has been on my bucket list for a while now. Before we knew it our trip had come to and end, and we headed out of the city, tired, yet satisfied with all we had been able to see and do. But before we got home we made a short stop in New Canaan, CT to look for more birthday presents for my brother, and I thought the town looked so pretty at dusk with the Christmas lights strung through the trees up and down the streets. It was a great three days!

Last Days of Downton

Today is the beginning of the end for Downton Abbey. I am terribly sad, but so excited to see my favorite TV show wrap everything up in a hopefully satisfying bow. We shall see what is in store for all the characters. In honor of Downton, I dressed the part for a 20's influenced shoot.

NYC Snapshots - Day 2

Day two in New York was a bit calmer than the first, as we strolled through the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and then enjoyed a delicious dinner at Tavern on the Green in Central Park. I partook, unashamed, in the decadent French Toast off their Holiday Menu...and the chocolate fudge cake...yum.
